As much as I enjoy doing single centrals I feel like I am never in control. Something will throw a curveball at you and then you have to figure out how to go about it.

This young man came in with a fractured central after an accident during a gun recoil at a shooting range.

Ended up seeing an endodontist for an RCT.

Post and core done.

Tip # 1: Choose Emax MT to get some brightness as post and core teeth could get dark

Tip #2: Fired it in the blue phase with no glaze to get the value checked.

Tip #3: Once the value is locked in it’s way to see the colors in the crystallized form compared to the blue phase. Second fire with Miyo 850 and a couple of colors from Miyo Esthetic kit.

Tip #4: Some changes may be needed at a recall as you lose perspective from the day of cementation.

The patient came in for a 2-week post-op check and did some polishing and buffing as it looked a tad too glossy. Also, add some character to the Incisal edge with a bur to match #9.

The final picture is after the polishing and buffing.
