1) Access to Puck milling.
2) Lower cost of manufacturing per unit ($5-$6 depending on what puck you are using )
3) Overnight milling if needed. Great for larger cases. Leave it to mill over night. No need to change blocks or burs. The next morning you get all the units milled at once.
4) Availability of back up bur set. No need to stop to change.
5) Can mill Zirconia or Porcelain. Accepts CEREC blocks . Ideal for CEREC users as it lessens inventory.
6) Access to more esthetic Zirconia compared to CEREC blocks
7) Better design capability with Exocad
8) Milling speeds are comparable to CEREC if same day turnaround needed.
For me this workflow shines on larger cases but would be an apt workflow for someone looking to get into the CADCAM workflow and wants something more and beyond than what CEREC can offer.
