Last week I shared some tips about exit angles for inlays and onlays. Lesser the number of exit angles easier the fit.
This week I want to continue to share some pearls on how to make inlays and onlays fit better.
Tip: The cavity outline form is very important. Use burs that allow you to have smooth flowing curves. When you do this it aids in better milling and the fit tends to be better and more passive. If you complicate the prep by making too many sharp corners or angles, it makes it difficult to mill which in turn leads to an ill-fitting restoration.
