This approach boosts confidence, enabling more cases and fewer referrals by allowing advance planning and visualization. Developing a workflow for in-house guide fabrication and using a seamless kit is essential for a smooth process.
Here is my 4 step process for guided surgery :
Step 1 : Take intra oral scans and CBCT ( Taken by assistants )
Step 2: Import them into Pylon ( Free planning software from Truabutment ) and plan the placement myself. (10 -12 min)
Step 3 : Export the STL for the guide and 3D print it with SprintRay. ( Done by assistants )
Step 4: Guided surgery with Uris implants ( 10 min )
